Louise is a Medical Secretary, qualifying with a Diploma in Medical Secretarial Studies AMSPAR.
Louise started her working life at the North Staffs Royal Infirmary as a personal secretary to a consultant physician before taking an entirely different route and working as a PA to a consulting engineer in the brick industry for 18 years before leaving to start a family.
She has also worked part-time as a front desk consultant at a private dentist, an administrator at a mental health charity, and also helped with admin/dance teaching in a friend’s dance school to facilitate a home/work-life balance when raising a family.
It was whilst working at the mental health charity that Louise found an interest in connections between physical and mental health and a person’s wellbeing, as well as noticing the vast number of people requiring help but being afraid to ask for so long because of the “stigma” associated.
Louise feels it’s important to talk openly about mental health issues and encourages people to speak to a professional.
Louise worked at Emotions clinic between 2012 and 2015 and returned in 2018. She job-shares with Debbie and between them, they provide a full secretarial/admin service to all clinicians at Emotions.
They aim to provide a professional but friendly and confidential service and to help people feel at ease during their appointments.
The working days are split as follows:
Monday: Debbie
