Dr Qasim Mirza is a consultant psychiatrist in old age in Staffordshire area. He is an expert in treatment of patients presenting with cognitive impairment, including Behavioural and Psychological symptoms of Dementia.
Dr Mirza can offer full assessment and management regarding Alzheimers or Vascular type of Dementia, Dementia in Lewy Bodies or Parkinson’s disease, Frontotemporal and other Atypical types of Dementia.
He has vast experience in managing functional conditions in Old Age group as well. This includes conditions like depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder and Psychosis.
Dr Mirza’s psychiatric experience is more than 35 years. He is on specialist registration of The Royal College of psychiatrists.
Dr Mirza is fully trained in UK and his training also includes Psychotherapies.
He is happy to provide assessments regarding any potentially Young Onset Dementia concerns, Capacity related legal issues in old age, Immigration reports for those families who want to bring their parents to UK because of memory problems. In addition, Dr Mirza has vast experience in treating Mental health disorders in adult population as well. This includes Psychosis, Anxiety and Mood disorders.
